1. Find some cute frame shape on the Internet.Then choose the right size of the frame shape and print it out.

2. Put the printed frame shape on a on a piece of very thin plywood. Using a jigsaw your hubby cut it out using the frame shape as pattern.

3. Then you remove the frame shape, sand the wood and paint it.

4. Put your mother's photo in the frame. Use some washi tape to hold the photo to the frame. Or if you don't want to put the tape directly on the photo, you can cut a piece of poster board to same size as the photo and tape that.
