The baby bib is always the necessary attire for any meal time. It must be meaningful for you to make a personalized baby bib for your baby. Here is what you can do:
Supplies:
- blank baby bib
- colorful fabric scraps for your letters
- iron-on adhesive
- sewing needle (white 100% cotton thread and a sewing machine)
- cardstock
- scissors
- pen
Instructions:
1. Select a desired font via a word processing program and print your "outlined" letters onto cardstock.
2. Cut out your letters. (After that, place them on the bib to be sure they will fit before continuing.)
3. Trace all of the letters and shapes upside down onto the paper side of the iron-on adhesive.
4. Carefully cut out the letters and shapes, leaving a slight space around each.
5. Place the letter (or shape) glue side down onto the wrong side of the fabric. Carefully press the iron over the shape until it has adhered to the fabric.
6. Cut out each letter along the lines you have traced.
7. Peel the paper backing from each.
8. Arrange your "ready to iron" letters on the bib with the adhesive side down.
9. Press and lift your iron until the letters are "stuck" onto the fabric.
10. Use embroidery thread and a needle to stitch around the letters for extra durability.
This is how you make the custom baby bib. It is so personalized. You can let your baby wear it.
