DIY Canvas Drop Cloth Pillow Case

This painted canvas drop cloth pillow case is so cute and so easy to make.You can paint your own design on the pillow cover to celebrate any holiday or to match any decor. After creating this pillow, you may find yourself totally hooked on canvas drop cloth projects! Just follow the instructions for your own no-sew drop cloth pillow case.


Materials:
- Canvas Drop Cloth
- Paint
- Paint Brush
- Newspaper for the heart design template
- Hem Tape
- Glue Gun

Instructions:

1. Fabric cuts: one 21 x 21 inch, one 16 x 21 inch and one 11 x 21 piece of fabric. Iron each piece until they are wrinkle free.

2. Fold a newspaper page in half and draw half of a heart, then cut it. Center the heart template on your 21 x 21 fabric panel and trace using a pencil. Paint the inside of your heart. Let the paint dry for several hours.

3. Using the hem tape or a glue gun fold your fabric edges over on the 16 x 21 panel and hem. Repeat that step for the hem the 11 x 21 panel piece.

4. Assemble the envelope pillow. With the heart face-up towards you, place the 16 x 21 panel on top of the heart with the exposed hem facing up on one end of the pillow, then place the 11 x 21 piece on the other end of the pillow, again with the raw hem facing up.
Remember once the pillow is made you will fold it inside out.
Next using hem tape iron all four sides of the outside. Reinforce all four corners on the pillow and envelope opening sides using glue gun.
Next, turn your pillow inside out and place a pillow insert inside.
