DIY Photo Frame

Today I want the share a diy project with you, that is diy photo frame. This would be a terrific gift for just about any occasion: Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, a birthday, or it could be a fun way to display a large photo at a wedding reception.

SUPPLIES:

- 4 ft. x 8 ft. sheet in. Sanded Plywood
- 6-ft. 1 in. x 2 in. Boards
- Jig Saw
- Kreg Jig and 1 in. Pocket Hole Screws
- Staple Gun
- Stain and Paint
- 22 in. x 34 in. Photo
- Poster Board or large scrap piece of paper
- Measuring Tape
- Sand Paper
- 100 grit
- Pencil
- Hearing Protection and Eye Protection

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. With a pencil, measure halfway down your length of plywood, and halfway across the width of your plywood. Then draw a line all the way across and down, to section your plywood into quarters.

2.Take a piece of poster-board, or a large sheet of paper, and cut the shape of your frame. Trace the shape onto one quarter, then rotate and flip the poster-board, and trace the shape onto all four quadrants of your plywood.

3. Cut the whole thing out with a jig saw.Do your best to cut straight lines.

4. Sand the edges till they’re all smooth.

5. Go ahead and stain your entire frame.

6. Assemble the inside frame. You’ll need a 1 x 4 cut into two 36-inch lengths, and two 17-inch lengths.

7. Using a Kreg Jig, drill pocket holes in the boards.

8. Assemble the frame using 1 in. pocket hole screws. Then sand the frame until it's nice and smooth, and paint it or stain it however you'd like.

9. Get all of your frame pieces and your photo ready. Stack your frames on top of each other, with your photo in between.

10. Then using a staple gun, staple the frames together from behind.

Then hang the personalized photo frame on the wall. I am sure you will be proud to display this photo frame.
