DIY Your Own Mousepad

  Do you have your own mousepad? Have you ever been tired of hearing your wireless mouse scrap against your desk? It's time for a much needed change. To your surprise it is more than a little difficult to find the exact mousepad you have in mind, let alone any mouse pad that does not have some type of tropical stock photo plastered all over it.Anyway,below is a very simple tutorial on how to customize your own personalized mousepad.Just have a try.


  The material you need to prepare:
 1. Any Mousepad
 2. Acrylic Paint in the color of your choosing
 3. Mod Podge
 4. Paint Brush
 5. Washi Tape

  Instructions:

  First, you will want to prepare your mousepad for painting - this is done by applying two thin layers of Mod Podge with a paint brush of your choosing. Please allow at least 30 - 45 minutes of drying time in between layers and allow your mousepad to dry overnight before proceeding to the next step.

  Once your mousepad has been prepared properly and is completely dry, use your washi tape to create your desired design. You can choose to keep the design fairly minimal by placing one piece of washi tape diagonally across the mousepad (from corner to corner).

  Next, begin painting! Using the acrylic paint you have selected for this DIY apply 2 - 3 layers of paint or until you have achieved the color you desire. Please allow at least 30 - 45 minutes of drying time in between each layer. After your paint has dried completely, apply 2 - 3 layers of Mod Podge to your mousepad. Again please allow at least 30 - 45 minutes of drying time in between layers .IT would be better to let your your mousepad to dry overnight before using it.
