One Stupid-easy Costume Idea to Make With What You Already Own

 That all-too-important Oct. 31 date is creeping closer and closer on the calendar, and in spite of all of your best planning efforts, you're still costume-less. I've been there, my friend. Haven't we all? With mere days left to go before Halloween, it sounds like you're in dire need of some last-minute 2017 DIY Halloween costume ideas.Here is Halloween costume that you can make with stuff that's probably already in your house.It's a nerd.


 Materials you need to prepare:

a button-down or polo shirt (preferably one with a pocket so you can put pens and/or a calculator inside)
high-water pants -- high-waisted is also good
loafers
glasses
tape
 Instructions:

 There are only a few steps to put this costume together.Tape the center of your glasses and assemble your outfit -- high socks with loafers, high-water or high-waisted pants or shorts, a button-down or polo shirt with pens in the pocket. Some added touches: suspenders -- or suspenders made from duct tape, a tie and a calculator in your back pocket.

 A DIY Halloween costume doesn't necessarily require hours and hours of arts and crafts time. It may be as simple as pulling the pieces of the costume together for yourself (instead of buying them as a set) or investing a few minutes in a little creative handiwork that will make your look stand out from the rest. Regardless of how far you decide to go on the DIY spectrum, I'd bet all of my Halloween candy that you'll be a lot happier with the results of the creative costume than with the admittedly simpler process of buying a packaged look that's bound to be more predictable.
